What documents do I need to complete to rent a sauna? To rent a sauna you’ll need to complete a rental agreement, sign a waiver, and review the video procedure. These documents are designed to ensure you fully understand the terms and conditions of the rental and take responsibility for the safe use of the sauna. The rental agreement covers important details such as the cancellation policy and rental fees, while the waiver is a legal document releasing Heat Retreat from liability in case of injury or property damage. You will complete these forms online prior to receiving the rental. The video procedure will be available to access at any time during your rental time frame. If you have any questions about the requirements or the process, feel free to reach out to us. Additionally, a $100 security deposit is required to secure your reservation. Our team will guide you through every step, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free experience.

How many people can fit in the sauna? The sauna accommodates 6 people. In the event that you have a large group, keep in mind it’s common to rotate out of the sauna after 15-minute cycles, so more people can cycle in.
What is prohibited inside of the sauna? To ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests, Heat Retreat has established clear guidelines on items and activities that are not permitted inside the sauna. We kindly ask you to avoid bringing or engaging in the following: Food and Beverages: Consuming food or drinks in the sauna is prohibited to prevent spills and unpleasant odors. Glass Items: Glass objects, such as bottles, cups, or containers, are not allowed due to the risk of breakage and potential injury. Flammable Materials: Items like candles, matches, and lighters are strictly forbidden as they pose a fire hazard. Electronics: Devices such as phones, tablets, or laptops should not be used inside the sauna, as they can be damaged by heat and moisture. Smoking, Vaping, Drugs, or Alcohol: These activities are strictly prohibited to maintain a safe and clean environment. Oils and Lotions: Please refrain from using body oils or lotions in the sauna to protect the wood and prevent slippery surfaces that could lead to accidents. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable sauna experience for everyone. Thank you!
Will the sauna fit in my yard or driveway? Our mobile sauna is delivered on a trailer and requires a flat, level surface of at least 20 feet by 8 feet for drop off. This can be a driveway, backyard, parking lot, or any other suitable area that is easily accessible by our delivery truck and trailer. Please ensure that there are no low hanging branches or other obstacles that may obstruct the trailer during delivery. If you have any questions or concerns about the drop off location, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Can I pour water on the rocks? Yes, you can pour water on the heater rocks. Heat Retreat is equipped with a traditional Finnish sauna heater and pouring water on the rocks is an essential part of the sauna experience. It creates steam which increases humidity, making the sauna more comfortable and relaxing. However, it is important to note that the amount of water you pour should be moderate, and you should avoid pouring too much water at once, as this could cause the rocks to crack. Also, make sure that the water you use is clean and free of any impurities, as this could affect the quality of the steam. If you are unsure about how much water to use or have any concerns about using the sauna, please feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to assist you.
What is your cancellation policy? Payment is the only way to secure your reservation date. A FULL payment and $100 security deposit is required. Cancelling 14+ days from your reservation date: Full refund. Cancelling 2 weeks from your reservation date: 30% cancellation fee, or re-schedule free of charge. Cancelling 1 week from your reservation date: non-refundable.
Are there any restrictions on who should use a sauna? Certain individuals should take precautions when using a sauna. People with medical conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, or diabetes are encouraged to consult their doctor before use. Pregnant women and children under 16 are also advised to avoid sauna sessions. Staying hydrated and limiting time in the sauna is essential to prevent potential health risks. If you have any concerns, we recommend consulting your doctor before enjoying our mobile sauna rental services.
Do I need electricity hookup? No, you don't need an electricity hookup to enjoy our mobile sauna rental. Our heater is wood-fired and provides both heat and light for a truly authentic sauna experience. Our sauna is pre-wired with LED lighting connected to portable power station to enhance your relaxation.
Do I need to supply anything? All that's required is a flat, level surface for us to set up. We also suggest that you and your guests bring towels, swimsuits, and a water bottle to make the most of your sauna experience. These items will help keep you comfortable and hydrated during your session.
