Your Sauna Experience
What to Expect:
A sauna host will greet and check you in. Please arrive 5 minutes early for check in. Arrive wearing your swimsuit or sauna clothes.
You’ll cycle through sauna rounds: heat, cool down, rest, and repeat. Spend time in and out of the sauna as feels right for you—everyone’s experience is unique.
Note: There will be an outside seating area available for cool-downs.
What to Wear:
Swimsuits are the norm in the Midwest. Choose what makes you comfortable, avoiding metal clasps that can get hot.
What to Bring:
Essentials
• Slip-on shoes or boots
• Water bottle
• Two towels (one for sitting, one for drying)
Optional
• Hand towel for sweat
• Hat for cool-downs
• Robe for extra comfort
What NOT to Bring:
Pack light and leave valuables at home. Space is limited, and Heat Retreat isn’t responsible for personal items.
Hydration:
Hydrate well before, during, and after your session.
Accessibility:
The sauna is accessible via a short ramp (no handrail). For mobility concerns, contact us in advance to explore accommodations.
